This month, Lise Lindstrom makes her company debut in the title role of Salome at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.

Barrie Kosky’s production of this enigmatic piece, which premiered at Oper Frankfurt in 2020, masterfully captures the complex dynamics and dark desires that define the characters within this one-act opera.

The brilliant cast also includes John Daszak as Herod, Katarina Dalayman as Herodias, Nicholas Brownlee as Jochanaan, Joel Prieto as Narraboth, Michael J. Scott as First Jew, Christopher Lemmings as Second Jew, Marcello Nardis as Third Jew, Eduardo Niave as Fourth Jew, Edwin Kaye as Fifth Jew / Second Soldier, Zachary Altman as First Nazarene / First Soldier, Nicola Straniero as Second Nazarene, Karina Kherunts as the page of Herodias, Alessandro Guerzoni / Daniele Massimi as a Cappadocian, Giuseppe Ruggiero as a slave.  Marc Albrecht leads from the podium.

Performances are on March 7, 10, 12, 14, and 16.
