'Salome' at Palau de la Música de València

On February 1 and 3, Lise Lindstrom will sing one of her signature roles in a concert presentation of Salome at the Palau de la Música de València.

She has portrayed the enigmatic title character with several of the world’s leading opera companies including Opera Australia, Houston Grand Opera, and Wiener Staatsoper. Strauss’ visceral opera is characterized by its lush orchestrations, intricate harmonies, and evocative use of leitmotifs, mirroring the intense emotions and psychological depth of the opera’s narrative. In addition to Ms. Lindstrom, the terrific cast will feature Michael Weinius as Herod, Stefanie Iranyi as Herodias, Michael Nagy as Jokanaan, and Martin Mitterrutzern as Narraboth. Conductor Alexander Liebreich leads the Valencia Orchestra in these special performances.
