'Elektra' at Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe

On June 4, 15, 27, and July 20, Lise Lindstrom stars as the title role of Strauss’ Elektra at the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe. Georg Fritzsch will conduct the fascinating production by Keith Warner and a fantastic cast, including Flurina Stucki as Chrysothemis, Katherine Lerner as Clytemnestra, Kammersänger Torsten Hofmann as Aegisth, and Young Doo Park as Orest, among others.

Ms. Lindstrom recently made her house debut as Elektra at Royal Danish Opera, which received rave reviews from critics like Ascolta, saying: “Lise Lindstrom is on stage for all 105 minutes, and she delivers a powerful performance. She doesn’t just sing the part, she fills it with life and convincing presence right up to the very last little note. She IS Elektra.”
