On October 8, Lise Lindstrom steps in as Brünnhilde in Andreas Homoki’s new production of Die Walküre with Zurich Opera.

Regarded as one of the leading Wagnerians of her time, Ms. Lindstrom has garnered great acclaim in this signature role throughout the years:

“Lindstrom is glorious as Brünnhilde, headstrong and mercurial but also pensive and supple. There is a ringing, exalted aspect to her performance, and her voice is winningly warm and penetrating. It bodes well for the long journey to come.” (Time Out)

Ms. Lindstrom joins a stellar cast that includes Eric Cutler as Siegmund, Christof Fischesser as Hunding, Tomasz Konieczny as Wotan, Daniela Köhler as Sieglinde, Patricia Bardon as Fricka, Sarah Cambidge as Helmwige, Julie Adams as Gerhilde, Justyna Bluj as Ortlinde, Anna Werle as Waltraute, Simone McIntosh as Siegrune, Susannah Haberfeld as Rossweise, Freya Apffelstaedt as Grimgerde and Nana Dzidziguri as Schwertleite. The Opernhaus’ general music director, Gianandrea Noseda, leads the performance.
