On September 24, Lise Lindstrom will join the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Choir, and members of the London Symphony Chorus in an exceptional performance of Arnold Schoenberg’s epic masterpiece, Gurrelieder.

Based on poetry by Jens Peter Jacobsen, this three-part cantata explores the themes of love, death, and the supernatural. Ms. Lindstrom will sing the soprano part of Tove and be joined on stage by Karen Cargill as Waldtaube, David Butt Philip as Waldemar, Robert Murray as Klaus-Narr, James Creswell as Bauer, and Alex Jennings as the narrator. The LPO’s principal conductor Ed Gardner leads this ambitious score which took the composer over ten years to complete.
