On July 10, Lise Lindstrom performs the role of Brünnhilde in Götterdämmerung as part of Oper Leipzig’s Wagner 22 Festival. This spectacular festival will feature all thirteen of the hometown composer’s operas in just over three weeks.

Rosamund Gilmore’s thoughtful production of the final opera in Wagner’s Ring Cycle makes use of a singular, elegant set and incorporates dance throughout the show. Joining Ms. Lindstrom on stage will be Emily Magee as Gutrune, Kathrin Göring as Waltraute, Christiane Döcker as 1st Norn, Karin Lovelius as 2nd Norn, Magdalena Hinterdobler as 3rd Norn, Olga Jelínková as Woglinde, Sandra Maxheimer as Wellgunde, Sandra Janke as Floßhilde, Stefan Vinke as Siegfried, Tuomas Pursio as Gunther, Werner Van Mechelen as Alberich and Sebastian Pilgrim as Hagen, along with several talented dancers. The Gewandhaus Orchestra will be conducted by the renowned music director of the company, Ulf Schirmer.
