Lise stars in Die Walküre at Teatro di San Carlo

This month sees Lise star as Brünnhilde in Die Walküre in the beautiful theatre of Teatro di San Carlo, Naples. The production opens on 11 May with Lise singing Brünnhilde on 12 and 17 May. Federico Tiezzi’s production is conducted by Juraj Valčuha.

Lise has sung Brünnhilde this season in Hamburgische Staatsoper’s Ring Cycle, in Götterdämmerung at Oper Leipzig and in Siegfried at Deutsche Oper am Rhein

Lise sang her first Ring Cycle for Opera Australia in 2016, winning the Green Room Award and Helpmann Award for Best Female Performer in an Opera in the process. She has since developed a significant reputation for her interpretations of Wagnerian repertoire.
