Lise sings Turandot at Opera Australia
Lise stars in Opera Australia’s Turandot at the Arts Centre Melbourne. Opening on 19 November and running until 6 December, this production sees Lise sing the eponymous role of the ice princess alongside Walter Fraccaro as the man determined to win her heart and Karah Son as his devoted servant, Liù. The opera is conducted by Christian Badea.
This production follows hot on the heels of Gran Teatre del Liceu’s Turandot where Lise attracted stellar reviews:
“Lise Lindstrom gave us the sneer of cold command, a true ice princess. In the riddle scene that closes Act 2, I take my hat off to any pair of singers who can make themselves heard clear and strong above the Liceu Orchestra in full flood. Josep Pons certainly wasn’t holding back, but Lindstrom and Gregory Kunde powered through them.” Bachtrack
