Spring with Turandot in Salerno and Detroit
This spring sees Lise Lindstrom reprising her signature role of Puccini’s Turandot in Italy and Michigan. On April 8, 10, and 13, Lise plays Puccini’s ice queen at Salerno’s Teatro Municipale Giuseppe Verdi, performing the role with what The Independent deemed an “immensely powerful voice…[that] made the elusive Turandot the magnetic force that she needs to be.”
The following month, Lise joins the Michigan Opera Theatre at the Detroit Opera House for the same work. Under conductor Valerio Galli and director Garnett Bruce, she stars opposite tenor Rudy Park as the Calaf.
