Salome in Genoa and Detroit
On the heels of Turandot at the Wiener Staatsoper, Lise Lindstrom performs Salome with Opera di Genova from May 21 to 28, 2016. A “Salome to be reckoned with,” the American soprano revisits Strauss’s teenage princess following two acclaimed concert performances with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in the fall (The Opera Critic).
Singing at the Teatro Carlo Felice, Lise performs under the baton of Fabio Luisi and alongside Jane Henschel as Herodias, Herwig Pecoraro as Herodes and Mark Delavan as Jochanaan. Audiences can enjoy a livestream of the May 25 performance of Salome by tuning in online to www.streamingcarlofelice.com.
Continuing her summer of Salome in the U.S., Lise sings two concert performances with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Lise reunites with Jane Henschel as Herodias, and Chris Merritt and Daniel Sutin as Herodes and Jochanaan. Maestro Leonard Slatkin leads the performances on June 3 and 5, the second of which will be live broadcast on DSO.org/live.
