Lise opens 2015-16 season with Salome in concert, Turandot at the Met
Lise Lindstrom begins the 2015-16 season with a special appearance with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in two concert performances of Salome by Richard Strauss. Kirill Karabits conducts Lise and baritone James Rutherford on September 30 at the Lighthouse in Poole, and on October 2 at Symphony Hall in Birmingham. Following her performances in the UK, Lise travels to France, where she reprises the role of Strauss’s eponymous heroine in two concerts with the Orchestre National de Lyon and acclaimed conductor Leonard Slatkin.
In her return to New York’s Metropolitan Opera, Lise brings her signature account of Puccini’s ice princess to Franco Zeffirelli’s remarkable production of Turandot from October 22 to November 7. Following Turandot, Lise revisits the works of Strauss with Elektra at Opéra de Montréal under the baton of Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
