Lise Lindstrom returns to Wiener Staatsoper to perform title role in Salome
This December, Lise Lindstrom returns to the Wiener Staatsoper for two performances as the title role in Salome. The American soprano made her Wiener Staatsoper debut in 2012 as Strauss’s eponymous heroine to great acclaim, critics praising her “youthful, bright soprano whose metallic sheen complements the orchestral fury of the final song” (Die Presse).
Lise performs in Vienna on December 7 and 10 alongside Herwig Pocoraro as Herodes, Carole Wilson as Herodias, and Tomasz Konieczny as Jochanaan under the baton of Dennis Russell Davies.
Audiences around the world can enjoy the December 10 performance online via live webcast from the Wiener Staatsoper.
