A “triumphant” Turandot in Salerno

Lise Lindstrom’s recent turn as Puccini’s Turandot in Salerno was met with acclaim from Italian audiences and critics. As the composer’s eponymous ice princess, the American soprano “has all that it takes to portray the ungrateful character of Turandot,” according to Salerno’s La Cronache, which went on to praise Lise’s “grit, voice of steel, and dynamic presence.”

Television channel Telecolore dubbed Turandot “triumphant,” noting that Lise was “excellent” in the title role. Lise reprises her signature role next month in Detroit. Click here for more information.
