Lise Makes her Royal Opera House Debut in Puccini’s Turandot
Continuing her coronation year as Puccini’s famed heroine, Lise Lindstrom makes her Royal Opera House debut in Turandot. Playing the titular Peking princess, the American soprano continues her acclaimed string of house debuts in the role, following performances in recent seasons at the Metropolitan Opera and Teatro alla Scala. Of her Met account of the role, the New York Post wrote: “the tall, slender Lindstrom wielded the icy glamour of a ’30s film star.”
Headlining Andrei Serban’s staging, Lindstrom stars opposite Marco Berti as Calaf and Eri Nakamura as Liù. Henrik Nánási conducts the performances, which run from September 9 – 28, with a national cinema broadcast on September 17. For more information, click here.
