Lise Lindstrom makes Deutsche Oper am Rhein debut
On the heels of her acclaimed performance in Wagner’s Ring Cycle at Opera Australia, Lise Lindstrom travels to Germany to make her Deutsche Oper am Rhein debut in Turandot.
The American soprano is an accomplished interpreter of Puccini’s celebrated work, Opera News remarking that “Lindstrom understands that a great Turandot needs to find the moments when the character’s vulnerability can be revealed. The soprano accomplishes just that, delivering in Act III soft yet insistent legato phrases.”
Lise stars opposite Zoran Todorovich as Calaf and Sylvia Hamvasi and Celine Byrne alternating the role of Liù. The ensemble performs under the baton of Wen-Pin Chein on December 29 and January 28.
